Massage Doula - my training as a massage Doula.

Massage Birth Doula
Trained with Judith, an America Massage Doula. Sandra Cowley (trained by Judith) took 4 of us through a 4 day intensive course. We were required to have done massage treatments before. We learnt a massage routine for prenatal and postnatal care. We were topped up on Doula information, the role of a Doula and how we can help. We were refreshed on physiology and anatomy. I took a practical prenatal massage exam and written Doula exam.

I am a member of the Massage Doula Network with Judith.
Certificate requirements:- Attend antenatal classes, read books on the subject and complete evaluations of three births to gain my experience.

Doula UK Birth Doula
July 2005 Three day course by Nurturing Birth which is recognised by Doula UK. http://www.nurturingbirth.co.uk/ I am a 'Trainee' on their website.
Certificate requirements:- Complete four case studies, complete an interview.
